Types of data we collect

North East Dive require your name, address, contact details and emergency contact details purely for the purpose of contacting yourself regarding any diving you have planned with ourselves, we may, for example, be required to share your information with any third party providers such as accommodation. Your emergency contact information will only be used in an emergency or if we cannot contact yourself. It will only be passed onto a third party if we are required to do so by law or in an emergency situation. We will retain this information until you advise us that you no longer wish for us to retain it or until we cease to offer dive trips. We will request upto date Emergency contact details prior to your trip, if you fail to provide these details you will not be permitted to dive from our Vessel.
You also authorise North East Dive to use pictures of yourself and your name within trip reports and advertising on our own website & social media websites. You can ask us not do to so at anytime.

Mailing List
Please refer to our email provider, MailChimp’s Privacy Policy. As part of the registration process for e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about dive trips you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t share or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Catherine Hollingdale. Access to your personal information Under GDPR, You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold.
